10 SIMPLE AND FABULOUS
DIY GIFTS FOR TEACHERS
Every year I struggle with this one and try really hard NOT to wait until the last minute and get a mug from the Dollar Store or a box of candy.
We are a household of educators and while I LOVE the treasures brought home every holiday – it also pains me to put all the mugs we get every year into the Goodwill box.
Because of this, I have been on a mission to find the best INEXPENSIVE AND EAST DIY GIFTS for teachers this year.
What I love about each one of these is that these are projects you can involve the little ones with and really make it a gift creative with love.
….and the teachers in your life will appreciate the extra thoughtfulness that comes along with their amazing gift.
1. EASY AND INEXPENSIVE BROWN SUGAR SCRUB
Can’t you just smell the deliciousness of this brown sugar scrub! Stong smells tend to bother me and give me a headache – but my nose always enjoys the smell of cookies.
What I like about this DIY craft is that it is inexpensive, easy to make, sustainable and made with love. Get the little ones involved with this one.
2. EASY CHOCOLATE COOKIE MIX IN A JAR GIFT
Your child’s Teacher is going to love taking this cookie in a jar treat home. You can mix it up and try different recipes as well. Tie a ribbon around the neck of the jar to match the season.
You can either tie a hand-made tag to it or the cookie recipe – or both!
3. DIY SUCCULENT PLANTS IN A MASON JAR
This cute little succulent DIY mason jar planter will stand out on Teacher’s desk. It’s low maintenance and will last a long time. A fun bonus and that students can watch it grow and help care for it.
Mix it with the size and shape of the jar and decoration on the outside. A great year-round gift idea.
4. FUN AND GLITTERY GALAXY JAR
Here is another genius idea for Teacher. Fun, bright and colorful – this glittery galaxy jar will mesmerize students. These are great relaxation tools for kids and adults.
For a glass-free version, try doing this in a clear plastic bottle with the cap super-glued on tight.
5. DIY TIC-TAC-TOE TRAVEL BAGS FOR PENNIES
What a great way to kill some time. Great for Teacher’s desk or for traveling with mom and dad, waiting at the Doctor’s office or anytime little ones need to be distracted.
You can get really creative with the rocks and paint them and design them as well.
6. FUN AND SMELL GOOD DIY EXFOLIATING SOAPS
Nothing is more refreshing than clean skin. You can change out the shapes of these soaps to match a theme or flavor.
So many fun ways to make this gift unique and special for Teacher.
7. DIY MASON JAR LID COASTERS
Put it on a coaster!!! I am forever getting after the boys to not put their cups on the coffee table and to get a coaster. These fun DIY Mason Jar Lid Coasters are functional and practical but also super cute.
Keep those tables tidy and looking new. Teacher will appreciate the thought put into this gift.
8. DELICIOUSLY SCENTED DIY PINK LEMONADE SCRUB
All these lemon ideas are making me wish for a glass of sweet and tart lemonade! It will be hard not to eat this scrub. (Please don’t!)
Pretty in pink – and treat for the nose and skin.
A great addition would be a tiny wooden scoop to tie with string around the neck of the jar.
9. EASY MELT AND POUR GINGERBREAD SOAP RECIPE
These whimsical gingerbread soap men are adorable. Pack up a half dozen or so gingerbread men in a jar or wicker basket with a gingham cloth and you are all set.
Make sure Teacher doesn’t eat them tho. Soap in the mouth is not fun.
10. DIY SCRABBLE COASTERS
Another creative way to present a practical yet fun gift – DIY Scrabble coasters. Get creative with quotes and favorite phrases. Cute conversation starters for Teacher while sipping morning coffee.
The kids will have fun making these ones as well!
